Sub: Cooperation with the State Government by NSTIs to provide the infra facilities to
combat the challenge of COVID-19 - reg Kind reference is invited to my e-mail dated 28.03.2020 regarding 'Cooperation by National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) under this Directorate General, MSDE with the State Govts. to combat the challenge of COVID-19' and the attached D.O. from Cabinet Secretary, dated 24.03.2020, which was addressed to all Administrators/ Chief Secretaries. As directed in the D.O Letter, priority has to be accorded to establish medical facilities and expand/ upgrade the existing facilities to combat the challenges posed due to the pandemic. Also, the fiscal resources of the States/UTs are to be deployed on a priority basis to manage and control the spread of COVID-19. In this regard, the Directorate General of Training (DGT), M/o Skill Development & Entrepreneurship is fully committed to providing all possible support for combating this challenge by extending the infrastructural facilities available in its National Skill Training Institutes (STIs) located in different parts of the country. Accordingly, a detailed list of the institutes at various locations and available infrastructure for conversion into Quarantine/ Isolation wards/ temporary medical camps, as required by the State Administrations, is attached for kind perusal, please. -sd/- (NEELAM SHAMI RAO) Director General (Training) To. 1.
