The state Government ITI Admission promotes quality and vocational government Government Technical Education Center and gives particular emphasis on strengthening technical education to make youth self-reliant.
The government has started several vocational courses in
technical education institutions. There are 363 technical education centers and
ITIs in the state. An official spokesman said there are five engineering colleges, four pharmacy colleges, 16 polytechnic institutes, 138 industrial training institutes, and one motor driving and heavy earthmoving machinery operator school in the public sector.
There are nine engineering colleges Center
16 pharmacy colleges,
nine polytechnic institutes, 14 D pharmacy colleges, and 151 ITIs in the private
sector with an admission capacity of 58,439 students.
The government has approved Government Hydro Engineering
College, Bandla at Bilaspur, and Mahatma Gandhi Government Engineering College,
Geori at Shimla. The government has notified polytechnic colleges in Karsog and
Seraj in Mandi, Jandaur, and Sulah in Kangra, and Dalash in Kullu.
The government has also issued a notification to open a
pharmacy college in Kangra's reconciliation. A degree course in electrical
engineering trade has also been started at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government
Engineering College, Pragati nagar, Shimla.
The government will also launch a new scheme Kaushal Aapke
Dwar to provide services like plumbing, welding, electrical
repair, refrigerator, and AC repair. Under this scheme, ITIs having courses in
these trades will provide services to the nearest consumers at the lowest
rates.
