The Apprenticeship Act of 1961
The Apprentices Act was enacted in 1961 in India. Under this Act, the program of training of trainees in industries was made to regulate, so that training courses, duration of the training, etc. which is prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council, and facilities available in the industry for training are available. So that the trainees can use all the facilities.
The Prentice Act was enacted in 1961 and effectively implemented in 1962. Initially, the Act envisaged the training of trade apprentices. This act was further amended in 1986, and it was decided to train 10 + 2 professional streams as "technicians (vocational)" in its jurisdiction.
Qualification for apprentice
Students who have obtained a degree or diploma in engineering or have a professional qualification of +2 or have done 10 + ITI from a trade, then can apply for the apprenticeship recruitment fired by the government or in the private sector. For apprenticeship, the candidate must be 16 years of age. There is no upper age limit for this.
How to Handy
The Government of India has implemented the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme or National Trainee Training Scheme for apprenticeship in India. The apprentice is required to register in the scheme for the apprentice.

During the period of apprenticeship, trainees are given a stipend amount, 50% of which is reimbursed to the Government of India employer At the end of the training period, the trainees are issued a certificate of proficiency by the Government of India which can be registered as valid employment experience in all employment exchanges in India. Trainees are placed for training in central, state, and private organizations that have excellent training facilities. The National Trainee Training Scheme is one of the flagship programs of the Government of India for Skilling Indian Youth.
