Welding Practical The straight line bead on M.S. plate.a welding practical includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring proper ventilation in the workspace, 

Aim:-Setting up of the arc welding types of equipment strike, the arc, and making the straight line bead on M.S. plate.

Tools and Equipment:-  Gloves,tong,flat file,scriber,bench vice,steel rule,try squre,chipping hammer,goggles.

Procedure:-

1.Collect the workpiece and check the size.

2. Mark the position to be welded.

3. Place on the welding table.

4. Switch on the power supply.

5.Switch on the MCB. Of the power source welding machine.

6.Check the earth connection to the welding cable.

7.Select the electrode 2.5mm.

8.Grip the welding electrode on the electrode holder and adjust the output current to nearly 110A. check for the arc on a waist piece.

9. Do the welding on the marked space and remove the slag from the welding bead after cooling by using a chipping hammer final cleaning to be done by using a steel wire brush.

10. Inspect the welding place for 30min.

Safety:-.

1.      Work as per instructions.
2.      Keep yourself away from the fumes.
3.      Check the welding cables.
4.      Wear proper clothing.
5.      Use a hand screen while welding.
6.      Check for electric spark while welding. 

Result:- The required straight line welded model is obtained.
