Crafts Instructor Training Courses AUGUST 2020 SESSION
The Objective of the Craft Instructor Training Scheme is to train Instructor trainees in the techniques of transferring hands-on skills, to train semi-skilled/skilled manpower for the industry. The structure of the training program is so designed that Comprehensive training both in skills and training methodology is imparted to the instructor trainees to enable them to be conversant with techniques of transferring hands-on skills and to train skilled manpower for the industry. At present craft, instructors are trained in 34 Trades and the training is conducted in 28 National Skill Training Institutes (NSTI), 6 State Government Institute of Training of Trainers (IoT), and 12 Private Institute of Training of Trainers. These courses are conducted under the aegis of the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT). On successful completion of the course, the trainee shall be awarded Craft Instructor Training Certificate by NCVT recognized by the Government of India. A candidate trained in the CITS scheme can,

All India Common entrance test(AICET): DGT conducts All India Common Entrance Test (AICET) for admission to Craft Instructor Training through centralized Counseling.
